Why do you do this?
We are based in Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky, and believe diversifying our news sources make us more responsible citizens. Many people only rely on one or two news outlets, and we want to do our part in building a better informed and engaged community. We also believe a vibrant press is essential to a vibrant democracy and want to encourage readers to visit and support multiple news outlets.

What's with the blog posts?
Sometimes some background information is important to make sense of what's in the news. If you're making the effort to become a more educated consumer of the news, the least we can do is help you understand how the news actually relates to you.
